Plena Vida Vacations offers enriching itineraries with the perfect balance of group fun and independent exploration.

Many people feel group travel is too structured. They imagine early morning bus departures, strict dining options and grueling daily schedules with little time to relax.

​

That is why I’ve combined the fun and convenience of group travel with the flexibility of personal exploration – what more could you ask for?!

​

That being said, if you're a confident independent traveler and would like to do one of these tours on your own, no problem!

These itineraries are inspired by school trips and the colleagues who shared them. You don't have to be a teacher to appreciate the value that context adds to the travel experience. As every educator knows, the best teachers are lifelong learners! Grab a few friends and have your perspective forever altered on one of these enlightening journeys.

What makes it Group Travel?

  • Group of 10 minimum + group leader

  • Everyone travels together (flights, trains, etc.) on the same dates

  • Everyone stays in the same hotel

  • The main itinerary is set

  • Fares are typically lower

  • Group leader is responsible for helping to facilitate the group prior to and during the travel period.

How is it independent travel?

  • Once you arrive at your destination(s), how you spend your time is up to you!

  • Options for excursions and activities will be offered prior to departure but there is no obligation to participate.

  • You can choose to book activities in advance with other members of the group or you can design your own schedule.

  • Lunch and Dinner are your choice.

What is included?

  • Airfare

  • 4 or 5 star hotels in the heart of the city (double occupancy)

  • All breakfasts

  • Train fare between cities

  • Airport transfers

What isn’t included?

  • Lunch and dinner

  • Attraction/excursion fees

  • Travel Insurance

Interested in leading a group?

  • The Group leader is responsible for recruiting a minimum of 10 travelers.

  • They assist with communicating important details such as deadlines and activity information prior to departure to all group members.

  • They DO NOT collect payments (this is done directly by PVV)

  • Group leader travels free! *

  • Leader may take ONE travel companion at a reduced rate**

  • Leader is available to the group throughout the entire trip to assist with transfers, activity bookings, checking in/out of hotels, ensuring the group makes all scheduled departures, and assisting with any “hiccups” along the way.

*airfare, train tickets, airport transfers, breakfast and accommodations are included. Meals and activities not included.
